COVID-19 Information

All ACES clinics are open - We continue to treat patients and accept new referrals

At ACES we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of ophthalmic care to our patients.

We are accepting new referrals and treating NHS patients for cataract surgery as well as YAG, Glaucoma treatment, Oculoplastics as well as offering a full range of general ophthalmology services. We aim to treat cataract patients a minimum of 4 weeks from initial consultation.

We are continuing to closely follow advice from the UK government as well as NHS England, public health bodies and regulators in relation to COVID-19 to ensure we can continue to deliver essential eye care services to our patients.

The health and wellbeing of our patients and staff members is of the upmost priority.  We have implemented a number of health and safety measures including social distancing and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure that everyone feels safe and protected whilst in one of our ACES clinics.

Here is what you can expect when you visit an ACES clinic:

  1. We are carefully managing our appointments and ask that you arrive no earlier than 5 minutes ahead of your appointment time so that we can minimise the amount of people in the clinic at any one time.  If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know at your earliest convenience.
  2. All patients and members of staff are screened for COVID-19 symptoms on arrival the clinic before entry is permitted.  This includes a temperature check.
  3. Hand sanitiser will be provided on arrival at the clinic and throughout your visit.
  4. Clean and safe environments have always been a top priority in all of our clinics. Our clinics are continuously cleaned and sanitised throughout each day.
  5. Our experienced teams have all been sufficiently trained in infection control measures and can answer any questions you have on the day of your appointment.
  6. Our clinic staff members are required to wear appropriate PPE based on their role.
  7. We ask that you keep your face mask on, covering your mouth and nose, throughout your appointment.

You can rest assure that we are taking all the necessary measures to ensure our clinics are safe and welcoming environments.

Our team are on hand to help with any queries that you may have about our services, your treatment or an upcoming appointment. If you have an enquiry, please call 01945 466222 or email aceseyeclinic.enquiries@nhs.net and one of our team members will respond as quickly as possible.
