Mr Ernest Onyema is a highly experienced Ophthalmic Surgeon with a keen interest in glaucoma, cataract and oculoplastic treatments. Coming from a comprehensive medical background, Mr Onyema has completed a broad range of advanced clinical eye care training at some of the best institutes in the country, including the Moorfield Eye Hospital in London. He is now an experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist.
Over the span of his extensive career, Mr Onyema has established a wide skill-set and range of specialities where he has been able to perform over 8,000 IOL procedures including multifocal and toric lenses. He is the active lead for all clinical activities within a small specialist eye care team and has performed comprehensive reviews with a key focus on improving patient outcomes.
Mr Onyema is the author of a number of peer reviewed scientific publications, he has also presented his work at national and international conferences and is renowned in his field. He has won the Discretionary Points Award twice for his efforts as well as the esteemed European Development Training Fund Award.
