Get to know our ACES team: Q&A with Kim Cassettari, NHS Partnership Executive for ACES Chelmsford

Patient care is at the heart of Kim Cassettari’s work ethic, who recently joined our team as the NHS Partnership Executive for ACES Chelmsford. Her extensive experience in healthcare spans across patient-facing roles within both the dentistry and optics sectors.

  • What were you doing before you joined ACES?

I worked in the dental industry for 9 years as a Patient Coordinator, setting up new clinics for NHS contracts across Essex.

I also trained as an oral surgery nurse. I enjoyed helping people who had an urgent healthcare need and who were worried about their procedure. I helped them to overcome their fears, making them feel more at ease so that they could go ahead with the surgery they needed to finally overcome their issue.

In August 2020, I progressed onto Optics as a Patient Coordinator and worked my way up to a regional Patient Quality Lead for the South-East, before joining ACES as the NHS Partnership Executive for Chelmsford, Essex.

  • What first attracted you to join ACES?

I’m excited by the opportunity to share the outstanding services ACES offers with the community. More than aware of the long waiting lists within the NHS, I am looking forward to helping patients receive high-quality services without long waiting times, and to improve their quality of life by regaining better sight.

  • Can you explain what your role with ACES involves?

My role is to create positive engagement across the area’s healthcare providers, by raising awareness of our outstanding services and quick waiting times. I am proud to represent the ACES brand and I’ll be the first point of call for all healthcare providers looking to find out more about our services. I’m looking forward to increasing our referrals in the area, ultimately benefitting the general public.

“I am looking forward to helping patients receive high-quality services without long waiting times, and to improve their quality of life by regaining better sight.”

  • What excites you most about your role?

I have witnessed the positive impact the services ACES offer have made to many patients’ lives, so to be able to offer that across the Chelmsford community is heart-warming. I’m proud to know that I’ll be working for a company that is making a difference to those that need it.

  • What is the best piece of advice that you’ve ever received?

Kindness costs nothing but means everything. Give it out with expecting nothing in return.

  • What would you do if you won the lottery?

My passion is travel, so I’d likely spend time making memories by travelling the world with my nearest and dearest. I’m also very passionate about animals. I would love to run an animal sanctuary, where I’d help rehabilitate injured and unwanted animals.

Lastly, I would also be keen to start an animal companion service, where I would take dogs into care homes to spend time with the elderly. I’ve done this once before and the happiness it brought to the residents was truly beautiful!
